This poster breaks down the syllable types with a brief explanation and word examples. 

Syllable types, and the rules within them, are most successfully taught using a well scaffolded, cumulative approach to spelling.

Complementary to this poster is the ‘Spelling Rules’ poster which shows common spelling rules within syllable types.
